TOKYO, November 19. /TASS/. The volume of trade between Japan and Russia in 10 months of 2015 in dollar terms decreased by 38% due to the fall of the ruble and oil prices, Japanese Ministry of Finance told TASS Thursday.
Trade turnover between Russia and Japan in the reporting period amounted to a little over $17.7 bln. In the first 10 months of 2014, the bilateral trade volume reached nearly $28.3 bln.
Just like before, about 70% of the Russian export includes energy sources with considerably smaller prices. In October, for example, Japan has paid 33% less for energy sour than a year ago. In October, revenue from the supply of Japanese cars to Russia has also fallen by the same amounts due to reduced demand in Russia.
At the same time, the trade balance in 10 months was in favor of Russia in the amount of nearly $9 bln.
