Russia and the Philippines sign economic, anti-drug agreements

MANILA, November 18. /TASS/. Russia and the Philippines have signed an economic cooperation agreement as well as an agreement on fight against new psychoactive drugs.
The documents were inked in the presence of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and President of the Philippines Benigno Aquino after their talks within the framework of an APEC summit in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
The economic cooperation agreement, under which a joint commission for trade and economic cooperation will be set up, was signed by Russian Minister for Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev and Philippine Minister of Trade Gregory Domingo.
A memorandum was signed between the Russian Federal Drug Control Service and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to cooperate on combating new psychoactive drugs.
The document was signed by the first deputy director of the Russian Drug Control Service, Vladimir Kalanda, and PDEA Director General Arturo Cacdac.
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in the Philippines capital, Manila, takes place on November 18-19.
