Regulator allows 8 Swiss companies to supply cheese, meat to Russia
Following the results of a joint inspection, conducted on February 8-19, 2015, eight of 13 checked Swiss enterprises received the right to supply products of animal origin to the Russia
MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance has permitted eight Swiss companies to supply cheese and meat products to Russia, the regulator said in a statement on Monday.
"Following the results of a joint inspection, conducted on February 8-19, 2015 by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance and Switzerland’s Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office, eight of 13 checked Swiss enterprises received the right to supply products of animal origin (cheeses, finished meat products) to the Russian Federation," the watchdog said.
The watchdog added that in November the talks between the experts of the two agencies on possible supplies from five remaining enterprises are to take place.
