Events in Syria are not affecting oil prices — Lukoil CEO

SOCHI, October 2. /TASS/. The current developments in Syria are not affecting oil prices, head of Lukoil Vagit Alepkerov told journalists at the International Investment Forum Sochi-2015.
"I think the current events happening in Syria have absolutely no effect on the oil price," he said.
Russia’s Aerospace Forces launched an operation against the positions of the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria on Wednesday. Russia’s upper house, the Federation Council, unanimously gave the president approval to use the Russian Armed Forces abroad earlier that day.
Kremlin chief of staff Sergey Ivanov noted it was solely the operation of the Russian air forces against the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria at the request of President Bashar al-Assad.
Turkey, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have called on Russia to focus its efforts on fighting the Islamic State (IS) in Syria and to stop "attacks on the Syrian opposition and civilians," a joint statement unveiled by Turkey’s Foreign Ministry says.
