FRANKFURT, September 16. /TASS/. Korean automaker Hyundai is going to launch production of crossover Creta at its plant in St. Petersburg in early 2016, the Russian office of the company said Wednesday.

This model was not represented at the Russian market before; it is sold abroad under the name ix25.

The plant in St. Petersburg currently produces Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio models.

The company also noted that Hyundai plans to start production of the new EQUUS, Elantra and Solaris models in 2016.

Hyundai at the end of August occupied 9.9% of the Russian car market. One of the bestselling models is Solaris.
