Boeing refutes reports on Ukraine-made engines contract

A Ukrainian TV channel reported earlier that Ukraine and Boeing had agreed on supplies of engines and carrier rockets produced in Dnipropetrovsk

MOSCOW, September 10. /TASS/. Boeing’s official representative in Russia Elena Alexandrova has denied media reports that Ukraine will supply engines and carrier rockets to the US aerospace giant.

"The Boeing company has not signed any contracts with Ukraine on cooperation in the sphere of space programs and we are not planning any agreements in the near future," Alexandrova told the Rossiay-24 TV channel.

"The Ukrainian mass media have published absolutely unreliable information," she added.

Ukraine’s One Plus One TV channel reported earlier that Ukraine and Boeing had agreed on supplies of engines and carrier rockets produced by the Yuzhnoye Construction Bureau and the Yuzhmash plant based in Dnipropetrovsk, to the southeast of Kiev.

"The supplies will take place on condition that Kiev has no respective contracts with the countries the United States has imposed sanctions against," the TV channel reported.

The US currently buys Russian-made engines.
