MOSCOW, September 2. / TASS / Russia's Transaero airline and its shareholders were not initiators of consolidation with Aeroflot, Transaero CEO Alexander Pleshakov said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Neither Transaero, nor its shareholders were the initiators of this consolidation. The airline management offered two different scenarios - implementation of an earlier decision on establishment of a banking syndicate, or a financial recapitalization of the company," said Pleshakov.
