Kyrgyzstan’s president hopes for timely implementation of joint projects with Russia

In spite of the complicated situation, Russia has been fulfilling its all obligations no matter how difficult it is for it, the Kyrgyz president Almazbek Atambayev says

BISHKEK, July 27. /TASS/. Kyrgyzstan’s President Almazbek Atambayev hopes all joint projects with Russia will be implemented in time despite the complicated situation.

"As for the joint projects with Russia I have to say not everything is smooth there," he said during a meeting with heads of the local media. "We have received an official statement from RusHydro promising the Verkhne-Narynsk cascade (HPP) would be made in time, and all the terms will be observed. A similar situation is with the weapons — we have received [from Russia] about one thousand tonnes of armaments and ammunition, and I hope we shall receive more."

In spite of the complicated situation, Russia has been fulfilling its all obligations "no matter how difficult it is for it," the Kyrgyz president said.

The Russia-Kyrgyzstan development fund is growing, he said. it will offer loans to most promising directions of the local economy.

"The fund has received already $200 million," the president said.
