ST. PETERSBURG, June 19. /TASS/ China wants developing countries to strengthen their positions in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Executive Vice Premier of the Chinese State Council Zhang Gaoli said on Friday.

"We support the idea of the prompt renovation of the IMF system, which can let countries with forming market systems and developing countries strengthen their positions [in the fund's structures]," Zhang Gaoli said at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
