BELGRADE, May 28. /TASS/. Gazprom has no competitors on the liquefied natural gas (LNG) market at a distance over 10,000 km from Europe, Chief Executive Officer of the gas giant Alexei Miller said on Thursday.

According to Iran’s statements, the Iranian LNG will target the East Asian market, Miller said.

"The European LNG market is ranked third globally," he added.

Two major LNG projects are in Gazprom’s plans: Baltic LNG and Vladivostok LNG.

TASS reported earlier Gazprom Group increased sales of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) by 70% to 0.8 bln cubic meters in the first quarter of 2015. LNG sales equaled 0.46 bln cubic meters in the first quarter of 2014. LPG sales by Gazprom Marketing & Trading and Global LNG rose to 4.5 bln cubic meters in 2014.

Sakhalin-2, the only operating LNG project in Russia so far, is the Russian source of LNG for Gazprom.
