MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. Russian energy giant Gazprom has confirmed the receipt of $1.65 billion from Ukraine as repayment of its gas debts, Gazprom spokesman Sergey Kupiyanov said on Wednesday.

“But it should also be understood that the issue of prepayment for deliveries in January remains open,” the spokesman said.

“The price will be calculated closer to the last days (of December),” he added.
