Russia’s Sberbank confirms receiving part of Mechel’s debt

MOSCOW, December 4 /TASS/. A representative for Sberbank confirmed Thursday the bank received $3.2 million from metals and mining group Mechel, a part of the company’s $27.9 million debt claimed by the bank, according to information obtained by PRIME from the Moscow Arbitration Court.

Previously, the court received documents confirming that Mechel repaid $8.1 million. Thus, the company has repaid over $11.1 million so far.
