Indinesian president expects Russia to make investments in the country’s economy and the development of railways

BEIJING, November 10. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday Russia and Indonesia succeeded in overcoming a decline in mutual trade.

“We’ve maintained a good political dialogue. The economy develops. There is a certain decline in the beginning of the year. It seems to me the world economy climate is the common reason for this. Today we’ll have an opportunity to talk about how to overcome this situation and what to do in the near future,” Putin said.

“I’m glad to exchange views with you on all issues,” he said during a meeting with Indinesian leader.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said his country was ready to improve cooperation between the two countries.

He expects Russia to make investments in the country’s economy and the development of railways. “We’ll talk about economic issues. We want to invite Russia to make investments in different fields in Indonesia, for example in power energy, power lines, the infrastructure, railways, dams, irrigation etc,” Widodo said.
