MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. The Russian Federal Service for Consumer Protection (Rospotrebnadzor) has banned imports of beef sausage and sliced beef poducts from Belgium, Denmark, Slovakia, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Poland and Germany, a Rospotrebnadzor source said on Wednesday.

"Rospotredbadzor has tightened control over these kinds of products; measures are being taken to prevent their delivery to the territory of the Russian Federation," it said.

The Russian Rospotrebnadzor banned the imports of these products after the Federal Service for Consumer Protection and food safety of Germany found products made of beef, which was contaminated with anthrax, at several supermarkets and wholesale enterprises all over Germany.
