Kazakhstan and EU complete bilateral talks on Astana’s WTO membership

Kazakhstan’s upcoming accession to the WTO is an important step in the country’s integration into the global economic space

BRUSSELS, October 9. /TASS/. The European Union and Kazakhstan completed bilateral negotiations on Thursday on Kazakhstan’s admission to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The negotiations included talks on customs duties. The document on the conclusion of the bilateral WTO talks was signed by Kazakhstan’s trade minister and the EU Trade Commissioner.

Kazakhstan’s upcoming accession to the WTO is an important step in the country’s integration into the global economic space. The EU will actively support this process, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said.
