LNG share on world market never to exceed 30% — Gazprom CEO

ST. PETERSBURG, October 7. /TASS/. The share of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the global market has reached 30% and hit a ceiling, CEO of Gazprom Alexey Miller said Tuesday at a gas industry forum.

“I have to say that the share of liquefied natural gas on the global market will not change, it will remain at 30%,” he said.

US influence in the global gas market will be limited in the next one or two decades, Miller said. “I think that the North America’s gas market will be solving its own issues in the next 10-20 years. The main trouble of this market is that it does not have enough own natural gas reserves,” he said.

Miller said that Asian countries will most probably compete for fuel.
