Russian Grids ready to take Crimean power grids on balance

ST. PETERSBURG, September 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Power utility Russian Grids is ready to take the Crimean power grid complex on its balance, CEO Oleg Budargin told reporters on Thursday.

“We are ready to accept them into our “big family”. We offered them to think, estimate. It is not time for administrative redistribution now, the key point is to prepare to winter,” Budargin said.

The company is now assisting Crimean power firms with preparations to the winter period and ensured the peninsula with around 280 megawatts of mobile gas-turbine power plants, he said.

Moreover, the sides are now discussing installation of small generating units in residential settlements, which require additional capacities, he said.
