KIEV,September 10./ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine is set for three-way negotiations on gas issues as soon as Russia and the European Union (EU) are ready, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said on Wednesday.

"We are to co-ordinate the date and time of negotiations among the three parties, which the European Commission is talking about with the Russian side today, " he said.

These could take place on September 13, 15 or 16, he said - this latter date eyed on Tuesday by Yuri Vitrenko, adviser to the chairman of NAFTOGAZ of Ukraine, for a meeting in Vienna.

Russia suspended gas supply to Ukraine on June 16 over Ukrainian debt.
