Russia's Aeroflot will not to take loans from Western banks

MOSCOW, September 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian national flag carrier Aeroflot does not plan to take loans from the Western banks in the next few years, a company spokesperson told ITAR-TASS Thursday.
“Currently Aeroflot has no plans to raise loans from the Western banks in 2014-2015,” the spokesperson said, adding that in 2015 the company expects to receive three Boeing-777s, but the contracts are under a “sale and leaseback” scheme, which does not envisage loans.
On Tuesday, Reuters reported the European Commission has suggested the EU boost sanctions against Russia, including banning not only Russian state-controlled banks, but also all state-controlled companies from raising funds on European markets.
