Medvedev added that the country is interested in investors ready to work under long-term contracts for producing hi-tech competitive goods

GORKI, September 02. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia is interested in attracting foreign investors, including to the strategic sectors of the economy, despite the current political collisions, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday at foreign investment committee meeting.

“Our position remains intact - despite of current political collisions and difficulties, which exist in the international relationships, we are interested in serious investors coming to us, including to the sectors which are strategic according to our legislation,” Medvedev said.

Medvedev added that the country is interested in investors ready to work under long-term contracts for producing hi-tech competitive goods, and said now the country’s legislation for control over foreign investment is improving and many decisions are made without a preliminary approval.

On Tuesday, the committee will consider deals with shares of Russian companies from the pharmaceutical and nuclear energy industries and some issues connected with dual-use industrial goods, he said.
