France, Germany and Italy pumped the largest amounts of gas into their underground storages in the period
MOSCOW, September 2. /ITAR-TASS/. The EU pumped 7.008 billion cubic meters of gas into its underground storages in August, boosting the volume of stored gas to 71.105 billion cubic meters as of September 1, according to the data provided by the GSE association on Tuesday.
The underground storages in Europe are now 88.5% full.
France, Germany and Italy pumped the largest amounts of gas into their underground storages in the period: 1.942 billion cubic meters, 1.73 billion cubic meters of gas and 1.098 billion cubic meters of gas respectively.
Previously, Russian gas giant Gazprom said it will pump 2.4 billion cubic meters of gas into the EU’s underground storages in addition to 2.6 billion cubic meters the company already stored.
