BERLIN, August 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Tripartite gas talks within the Russia-EU-Ukraine format will be held in mid-September, Bloomberg quoted EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger as saying.

The exact date will be specified next week, Oettinger said.

On August 27, a spokesperson for the Russian Energy Ministry told ITAR-TASS that the date of the trilateral gas talks of Russia, Ukraine, and the EU had not been set yet. “The exact date will be announced later,” the spokesperson said.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s press service said that the talks could take place on September 6.

Ukraine’s Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said separately that they could take place in Berlin or Brussels.
