SLOBODA VILLAGE (Kursk region of Russia), August 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s food embargo has barely influenced the prices in retail shops, Russia’s trade and industry minister, Denis Manturov, told the Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev on Friday.

The retail prices have increased a little in several Russia’s regions, but they grow within normal limits, he said at the meeting on agriculture development.

“For example, the prices on chicken and pork have increased six and five percent respectively in Russia’s Dalnevostochni Federal District, while in other regions the prices have lowered on the contrary. In Russian regions near the Volga river the prices on cucumbers and apples slashed 14 and eleven percent respectively, as well as the price on eggs went 2.7% down”, he said.
