MOSCOW, August 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Major Russian air carrier Aeroflot estimates additional costs for bypassing Ukraine at $20 million a year, the company’s press office said on Thursday.
In July, Aeroflot was among the companies that decided to bypass Ukraine on military actions in the country’s east. This increased flying time of some regular flights, which proportionally increased fuel spending. Time of Aeroflot flight from Moscow to Bucharest added 47 minutes, to Athens and Thessaloniki - 34 and 23 minutes respectively, Sofia - 20 minutes, the air carrier said in mid-July.
