Geopolitics drop Coca-Cola sales in Russia 1-3% in second quarter
The company explains the second quarter decline in almost all categories of products with the current geopolitical pressure on the economy and consumer sentiment in the country
BERN, August 07./ITAR-TASS/. Coca-Cola sales in Russia dropped 1-3% in the second quarter of 2014 against 4-6% growth a year earlier, said bottler of Coca-Cola products Coca-Cola Hellenic.
This stopped Russian sales uptrend observed for ten quarters straight.
Meanwhile, over the six months of 2014 sales increased 1-3% against 4-6% a year before. In the first quarter, sales expanded 7-9%

Fanta was an exception with confident growth on expanded range of tastes. Cold tea sales dipped 1-3% in the second quarter of 2014 against a 14-16% rise a year earlier.
