Russia-Bulgaria trade reach almost $3 billion — Lavrov
Among the significant investments projects he named the modernisation of LUKOIL’s petrochemical plant in Burgas
MOSCOW, July 07./ITAR-TASS/. Trade turnover between Russia and Bulgaria has reached almost $3 billion, Russia’s top diplomat has said.
“Russia and Bulgaria develop fruitful relations in different fields. Trade and economic cooperation develops successfully. In 2013 trade turnover between our countries reached $2.9 billion. In the last 10 years Russia’s investments in the Bulgarian economy amounted to $2 billion,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told Bulgaria’s Focus News Agency on Monday.
Among the significant investments projects he named the modernisation of LUKOIL’s petrochemical plant in Burgas.
Lavrov cites other examples of successful cooperation. “These are the creation of the Kamchia resort on the Black Sea in Bulgaria and Gazprom Neft filling stations,” he said.
Over 300,000 Russians own property in Bulgaria at the sum of at least $4-5 billion. “The growing inflow of Russian tourists proves the country’s interest in Bulgaria: last year over 680,000 Russian citizens visited the country,” Lavrov said.
