High demand for Lada Largus cars pushes their prices up in Russia

The plant made over 110,000 Largus cars over the past two years

SAMARA, June 30. /ITAR-TASS/. The price of Lada Largus cars made jointly by Renault-Nissan and Avtovaz will go up by 3% on the average from July 1.

In the first five months of the current year, Lada Largus was among the top ten best selling cars in Russia, with demand exceeding the manufacturer’s ability to meet it.

The price of vans will increase by 9,000 roubles (about $300) and that of station wagons by 14,000 roubles (about $400), Avtovaz told ITAR-TASS on Monday, June 30.

The plant made over 110,000 Largus cars over the past two years, about 100,000 of which were high-capacity station wagons, and the rest commercial vans.
