Gazprom has good gas export prospects for 2014
“We managed to raise gas export in spite of a decline in Europe’s gas consumption, which made up 1.5% on average over the recent three years,” Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said
MOSCOW, June 27. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s gas giant Gazprom forecasts good gas export figures in 2014, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told an annual meeting of shareholders on Friday.
“Our production capacities are in demand this year. Latest data demonstrate that the current [in summer] gas consumption in Europe is at the winter level. We have good grounds to forecast good export figures for this year, too,” he said.
“In 2013, the Gazprom Group delivered 162.7 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe and Turkey, thus hitting the record high over the entire history of Russia’s and Soviet gas industry,” Miller stated.
In his words, Gazprom’s gas supplies grew 16.3%. “We managed to raise gas export in spite of a decline in Europe’s gas consumption, which made up 1.5% on average over the recent three years,” he said.
