MOSCOW, June 23. /ITAR-TASS/. Implementation of the national program for coal mining industry in the period up to 2030 will allow Russia to raise the country’s annual production from 350 million to 480 million tons of coal, Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak told a meeting of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with vice-premiers on Monday.
“Implementation of this program will make it possible to increase domestic coal consumption from 90 million to 120 million tons, raise coal output from the current level of 350 million to 480 tonnes a year, and boost export potential by 70 million tons,” Novak said.
