The Eurosatory arms exhibition runs until 20 June

The Eurosatory arms exhibition has existed since 1992. The exhibition is held every two years and is supported by the French Defense Ministry. It features armaments for ground forces, air defense systems, communication equipment, computing technology and much more.

The Eurosatory arms exhibition demonstrates trends in the development of armaments for land troops and ground air defense systems.

Official delegations from over 107 countries are expected to attend the event, and over 1400 commercial companies from 57 countries have announced their participation.

Russian companies at the exhibition

28 Russian companies are to take part in the exhibition. Russia’s state-owned arms seller Rosoboronexport and the leading machine building company Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) are among the companies to be exhibited.

Representatives of Rosoboronexport earlier said they would demonstrate advanced weaponry. Rosoboronexport specialists expect enhanced interest in various modifications of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, Pantsyr-S1, Tor-M2E and Buk-M2E air defense systems, Kamov Ka-52 (Hokum-B), Mil Mi-28HE (Havoc) and Mil Mi-35M (Hind) attack helicopters, as well as Mil Mi-17 (Hip) military transport helicopters. The Russian arms seller intends to hold talks at the exhibition with delegations from South-East Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America.

The CEO of the other major Russian company, Uralvagonzavod, earlier said the company has refused to put on display its two new vehicles - the modernized main battle tank T-90 and the fire support combat vehicle BMPT-72, titled Terminator-2, which have been expected at the Eurosatory exhibition, with special stalls reserved for them.
