Russian government keeps plans to privatize Rosneft, Aeroflot in 2014
Sources cited by local newspapers said earlier that the government will sell a stake of up to 19.5% minus one share in Rosneft
ST. PETERSBURG, May 22. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian government is keeping its plans to privatize stakes in oil giant Rosneft and in airline Aeroflot in 2014, Director of the Federal State Property Management Agency Olga Dergunova said Thursday at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Sources cited by local newspapers said earlier that the government will sell a stake of up to 19.5% minus one share in Rosneft, thus retaining the controlling stake, and a 10% interest in Aeroflot.
“The government is seriously considering this opportunity now. As far as I know, the decision has not been made yet,” she said, referring to Rosneft. “We are not renouncing this idea, and we are looking to see when an opportunity presents itself,” she said about Aeroflot.
