Medvedev: Russia values reputation of energy supplier

MOSCOW, May 15. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia will cooperate with all regions in the energy sector, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.
“All partners, Asian and European, are important for Russia. We are not going to say ‘no’ to any of them,” he said at the 14th ministerial meeting of the International Energy Forum on Thursday, May 15.
Russia accounts for about 20% of energy supplies in the world.
Speaking about cooperation with the Asia Pacific Region, Medvedev stressed its importance for Russia as both current and future market and for the accelerated development of Siberia and the Far East.
He said that Russia treasured its reputation of a reliable energy supplier and would always fulfill its contractual obligations.
“We have always fulfilled our obligations under energy contracts and we will continue doing so in the future,” he said, adding, “We value this reputation very much.”
