SIMFEROPOL, April 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian banks which work honestly may operate in Crimea without a license from the Bank of Russia until January 1, 2015, Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Mikhail Sukhov told journalists on Monday.
The Ukrainian banks may work in Crimea until next year on condition that they conscientiously fulfill their duties with no complaints lodged by the local population, Sukhov stressed.
These banks are authorized to settle their relations with Ukrainian borrowers at Russian courts, Sukhov said.
Russian banks will open 173 departments in Crimea by Monday evening, Sukhov said earlier.
Most of these banks have already been working with physical entities. By the end of April a network of Russian banks, which make transactions in Russian roubles, will exceed 200, Sukhov added.
