MOSCOW, April 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s newly-incorporated republic of Crimea have natural gas reserves of 165.3 billion cubic meters, 47 million tonnes of oil and 18.2 million tonnes of gas condensate, Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Sergei Donskoi told reporters on Thursday.
“Oil fields are not numerous in Crimea but natural gas resources are big enough for such a relatively small region. It has gas condensate reservoirs as well,” he said.
Crimean territory had 44 hydrocarbon fields, seven gas condensate reservoirs and 10 oil and 27 gas fields, the minister said. Five gas and three gas condensate fields were located offshore in the Black Sea. Six more gas fields were located in the adjacent Azov Sea.
