TOKYO, March 19. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian oil giant Rosneft is ready to involve Japanese companies in three major investment projects, the company’s President Igor Sechin said in a report at the VI Russian-Japanese investment forum in Tokyo.
The projects in question are construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant, the Eastern Petrochemical Company and a shipbuilding project in Russia’s Far East.
“We suggest a considerable expansion of investment opportunities (for Japanese partners) via investing in highly profitable mining and processing companies in Russia with minimal risks,” says the report. “Rosneft’s Far Eastern projects are the optimal source of supplies for Japan, given proximity to sales markets and the minimal transport leg.”
