MOSCOW, March 14. /ITAR-TASS/. The official website of Russia’s Central Bank has been attacked by hackers, a source close to the regulator told Itar-Tass.
“The attack started at 9:30 am Moscow time [GMT+4]. At the moment, all necessary measures are taken to fight back the attack,” the source added without specifying whether the attack has been tracked.
The official website of Russia’s Central Bank does not work from the early hours of March 14.
The press service of the financial regulator later confirmed that the Central Bank’s website suffered a hacker attack. “The site of the central bank is currently experiencing problems due to a hacker attack. The central bank is undertaking measures for countering the attack and restoring normal mode of operations,” the press service said.
