Naftogaz Ukrainy transfers over half of gas debt to Gazprom for 2013

MOSCOW, February 19. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian joint stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy has transferred more than half of debt to Russian gas giant Gazprom for gas supplies in 2013, a Gazprom official told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
Early in February Gazprom noted that Ukraine’s debt for Russian gas makes $658.4 million for January 2014 and $2.634 billion for 2013.
It was earlier reported that Ukrainian government stated Naftogaz had transferred $1.28 billion as gas debt.
Business news agency Bloomberg also reported that Naftogaz asked for delay to pay the remaining part of gas debt until April 15.
