MOSCOW, January 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's LUKOIL has confirmed plans to commission Iraq's West Qurna-2 oil field in late March-early April.
Plans were for initial capacity of 120,000 barrels a day to reach 400,000 barrels a day by late autumn-early winter, company President Vagit Alekperov told journalists.
“The investment program is being implemented according to plan. We have not overstepped it by a dollar,” Alekperov said.
LUKOIL’s president said West Qurna-2 was the first major oil field in Iraq and the largest internationally to be commissioned since the country's change of political regime.
