MOSCOW, December 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Mikhail Prokhorov’s ONEXIM Group has closed a deal on the purchase of 21.75% of shares of Uralkali (Russia’s potash fertilizer company) from the Suleyman Kerimov Foundation, a source familiar with the circumstances of the deal told Itar-Tass on Friday. A spokesman for ONEXIM has confirmed the information, declining further comment.

According to the source, in addition to this package, Mikhail Prokhorov’s partners would shortly purchase an additional five percent of Uralkali shares. He declined to specify from which company they could be bought.
