Uralkali head Baumgertner placed under house arrest

The measure of restraint will last until January 20, 2014
MOSCOW, December 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Director General of Russia’s Uralkali potash giant Vladislav Baumgertner was placed under house arrest, spokesman of the Moscow branch of the Federal Penitentiary Service Sergei Tsygankov told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
“The Basmanny court in Moscow has changed the measure of restraint to Baumgertner for house arrest until January 20, 2014,” he said.
Tsygankov noted that Baumgertner would stay under the control of the officers of the penitentiary service. “An electronic bracelet that is the permanent controlling device put on him to supervise Baumgertner in his flat,” the spokesman said.
Baumgertner was earlier being kept at the detention centre number five.
