Uralkali CEO Baumgertner brought from Minsk to Moscow

MOSCOW, November 21, 23:44 /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s potash fertilizer producer Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner, who was arrested in Belarus earlier this year, was handed over to Russian officials on Thursday, November 21, and has just been brought from Minsk to Moscow.
The plane from Minsk landed at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport at 23:17 Moscow time. Baumgartner was escorted by Federal Penitentiary Service officers, a source familiar with the situation told ITAR-TASS.

Earlier in the day, the Belarusian Prosecutor General’s Office announced its decision to extradite Baumgertner to Russia. He may be taken to Moscow within several hours.
Baumgertner was accused of selling fertilizers bypassing the joint venture with Belarus. He was arrested in Minsk in late August on charges of abuse of powder and placed under house arrest.
