Russian Transport Ministry urges to provide 169 billion rubles to develop transport

About 64 billion rubles are to be spent to build 17 priority highways in the Moscow region

MOSCOW, August 12 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s Transport Ministry calls for providing additional 169 billion rubles from the federal budget to develop Moscow region’s transport infrastructure.

About 64 billion rubles are to be spent to build 17 priority highways in the Moscow region and about 50.5 billion rubles to construct motor roads in the Moscow region. Over 46.7 billion rubles are expected to be allocated from the federal budget.

As of today the program for the development of the Moscow junction till 2020 is estimated at the amount of four trillion rubles.

Under the instruction of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev the Russian Transport Ministry, the governments of Moscow and the Moscow region make amendments to the program due to the change of Moscow’s borders and the emergence of new territories and areas. The new version of the program should be coordinated in September 2013.
