MOSCOW, July 22 (Itar-Tass) - Rusgeology JSC, a geological holding that unites state prospecting companies across Russia, is negotiating possible prospecting in Africa, Rosgeologia CEO Roman Panov told journalists on Monday.

According to Panov, the company is in “practical negotiations” about prospecting both on the African shelf and in in-land areas.

Along with that, he said, his company plans to carry out prospecting works in Latin America and Southeast Asia, “where the geophysical base was laid as far back as the Soviet era.”

Currently, a Rosgeologia subsidiary, Sevmorgeo, is implementing a project in Ecuador, Panov noted.
