MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Western nations and international institutions have provided Ukraine with nearly $212 bln in direct financial support through various grants and loans since February 2022, according to TASS calculations based on data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance.

The amount given was allocated directly to the Ukrainian state budget and does not include military aid provided through the transfer of weapons, hardware, ammunition, equipment, and intelligence, as well as the training of Ukrainian army units.

The European Union was Kiev's largest donor, providing Ukraine with over $85 bln. The United States provided financial aid to Ukraine under the Joe Biden administration (2021-2025), but Donald Trump halted it upon entering the White House in January 2025. Nevertheless, during the Biden administration's tenure, Washington managed to transfer $30.2 bln to Kiev. Since February 2022, Ukraine has received approximately $15.6 bln from the IMF, $10.3 bln from Japan, $6.2 bln from Canada, $6.1 bln from the World Bank, and $3.8 bln from the United Kingdom. Kiev also received bilateral financial assistance and loans from individual EU member states, including around $1.7 bln from Germany, $717 million from Norway, and $437 million from France.

The Russian side has repeatedly stated that Western aid to Ukraine will not become a magic pill capable of influencing the course of the hostilities.
