Gazprom sets fourth record for Power of Siberia gas supplies to China in November
The previous record was set on November 4
MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Gazprom has set a new record for daily gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline for the fourth time since the beginning of November, the energy holding company said in a statement.
"Gazprom has set a new all-time record for daily gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline. The latest record, the fourth since the beginning of this month, was registered on November 5," the statement said. The previous record was set on November 4.
The company noted that Russian gas supplies are delivered under a long-term gas purchase and sale agreement between Gazprom and China’s CNPC.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak previously said that Russia would supply 39 bln cubic meters of gas to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline this year.
In 2025, Gazprom became the largest gas exporter to China. Supplies via the Power of Siberia pipeline totaled 38.8 bln cubic meters of gas, exceeding the original contractual obligations by 800 mln cubic meters.
The Power of Siberia is the largest gas transportation system in eastern Russia, with an export capacity of 38 bln cubic meters of gas per year. The first pipeline deliveries of Russian gas to China via the eastern route began in December 2019 under a 30-year contract signed between Gazprom and China’s CNPC in 2014. Total deliveries over the contract’s duration will exceed 1 trillion cubic meters of gas, while the contract is valued at $400 bln.
