Manturov stresses importance of resource reserves, backup power supplies for agriculture
The First Deputy PM noted that ensuring employee safety and implementing physical protection measures at critical facilities should be top priorities, regardless of their geographic location
MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov emphasized the importance of maintaining resource reserves and backup power supplies for agricultural producers, as well as having alternative suppliers, according to a statement published on the Russian government’s website following a regular meeting of the subcommission on ensuring the uninterrupted operation of certain sectors of the economy.
"Uninterrupted operations also require stable supplies of seeds, fertilizers, animal feed, veterinary medicines, and fuel, along with reliable energy and water supplies. It is important to build up resource reserves in advance, have alternative suppliers, and provide for backup power sources. During periods of low temperatures, particular attention should be paid to the technical condition of boiler equipment and the proper functioning of heating systems," Manturov was quoted as saying.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also noted that ensuring employee safety and implementing physical protection measures at critical facilities must be top priorities, regardless of their geographic location.
