Gazprom sets third daily gas supply record to China via Power of Siberia in November
The previous high was achieved on November 3
MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. Gazprom has broken its record for daily gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline for the third time since the beginning of November 2026, the company announced.
"For the third time since the start of November, Gazprom has reached a new all-time high for daily gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline. A new record was set on November 4," the statement reads. The previous high was achieved on November 3.
The company noted that Russian gas is being delivered under a long-term purchase and sale agreement between Gazprom and China’s CNPC.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that Russia would supply 39 billion cubic meters of gas to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline this year.
In 2025, Gazprom became China's largest gas exporter. Supplies via the Power of Siberia pipeline reached 38.8 billion cubic meters, which is 800 million cubic meters above the initial contractual obligations.
Power of Siberia is the largest gas transmission system in eastern Russia, with an export capacity of 38 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The first pipeline shipments of Russian gas to China via the eastern route began in December 2019 under a 30-year contract signed in 2014 between Gazprom and China’s CNPC. The total supply volume over the entire term will exceed 1 trillion cubic meters of gas, with the contract valued at $400 billion.
