MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. The revenue of accredited IT companies for the first six months of 2026 amounted to 6 trillion rubles ($73.8 bln), Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in a video address to the participants of the Kazan Digital Week - 2026 International Forum.

"At the end of last year, the revenue of accredited IT companies approached eight trillion rubles ($98.5 bln), which is almost 1.5 times more than the previous period, and it continues to increase. For the first six months of the current year, this figure has already reached 6 trillion rubles," the prime minister said.

Over the past 6 years, the share of the IT sector in the country's gross domestic product has more than doubled, Mishustin noted. In Russia, the registry of domestic software is expanding, with the number of registered solutions counting in the tens of thousands. Businesses and state corporations are increasingly using them in key sectors of the economy, which helps reduce dependence on foreign suppliers and optimize production processes, he stressed.

In the current situation with external restrictions, it is necessary to more dynamically expand the lineup of domestic software, cloud services, and industrial systems, while simultaneously accelerating the launch of competitive technologies, the prime minister noted. This will help improve people's quality of life, as well as address economic and social challenges both in the regions and across the country as a whole, Mishustin added.
