MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak indicated agriculture, transport, mineral resources mining and electric power as key areas for cooperation with African nations in an interview with Vesti news program.

"First and foremost, this includes agriculture and processing, as this sector has significant potential for growth in Africa. These are transport, industrial plants, and equipment supplies. Many countries possess vast potential capabilities in mineral extraction. Particularly this pertains to oil, gas, gold, and uranium. Our expertise can be valuable here as well," Novak said.

Development of the power sector is important, the deputy prime minister said. "African countries today do not have enough power generation capacity. In this area, our competencies are hydropower, solar panels, and even the general development of energy master plans for these countries, given Russia's leading role in this field," he added.
