MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. The Sukhoi Su-57 fighter jet was developed with digital design of its components and digital testing, Mikhail Strelets, director of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, said in an interview published by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec).

"The new technological solutions employed in the development of the Su-57 included: the widespread use of composite materials, digital design of all components of the system, and digital testing of individual elements of the system," he said.

Strelets noted that the fighter’s unique characteristics are, first and foremost, the new capabilities of the aircraft system, which allow it to ensure superiority in combat missions: high maneuverability combined with low observability, and multifunctionality in combat missions with the ability to engage both air and ground targets simultaneously.
